Microbiome and development (Tania Veuthey)

In last years, advances in the field of neurodegenerative disorders have pointed an association between diet, gut microbiota and disease progression, leading to the emergence of the gut-microbiome-brain axis. Inspired by the importance of diet and microbiota on organism physiology, the aim of this project is to understand host-microbiota interrelations and to elucidate how microbiota is able to affect homeostasis and modulate progression of neurodegenerative disorders in C. elegans.
